domains at auction week of April 1st, 2024
the best, most valuable, and most SEO names at auction for the first week of April.
aaaand we’re back!
had a pretty busy couple of months, but one thing I’m focusing on lately is newsletters (if you’re interested in hearing more about that, you can sign up to that email list here—and check out my DFY newsletter service)
BUT THAT’S NOT WHAT THIS IS ABOUT.
This is about the domains, and I’ve got a list of some really great (and a few not-so-great) domains coming up at auction.
But first, a message from our sponsor.

Are Aged Domains Still Valuable In SEO?
After the March algorithm update, a lot of people are wondering if aged domains are still valuable—do they still work?
IMO, the game has changed. Using them as a quick link injection on a shit site for an easy win—those days are behind us.
But if you’ve got a REAL business doing REAL BUSINESS things (like selling products or offering a service)?
Aged domains can help big time. Here’s a screenshot of what I’m talking about from Odys — where at least three redirects from relevant, aged domains gradually added continuously contributed to growth for this client:
Want to get in on this yourself/for your clients? Check out this great service from Odys where they completely manage your 301 redirects for you.
(This service is NOT for everyone, and Odys reserves the right to only work with real businesses)

Valuable Domains
(all domains are from GoDaddy Auctions)
Variant.com - old af, $29k when I looked at this last night, $41k now. A solid .com, but not sure what you’d use it for.
Covid variants come to mind first but maybe some other medical or… ecom thing could be a good fit? Not gonna be a cheap acquisition tho…
Oakville.com - this one has SOME juice, is similarly old, and has a wild GoDaddy valuation of over $20k.
Probably the town in Cali, smack in the middle of Napa Valley is why the valuation is so high. Just seems like a stuffy, elegant brand.
From a website about wine:
But this modern-day hamlet is worth checking out, especially if you're into wine. Cabernet lovers will find some of the best wineries in Napa Valley here, from tiny boutique businesses to some of the largest names in the industry.
🍷🍷🍷🍷 we give it 4 wine glasses out of five
Sea.io - great short one-word .io — not sure what you might use it for, but that’s the nice thing about short, meaningful one word brands: it doesn’t matter! It could be anything.
Lately.com - A nice, early one-word .com that, to me, is a nice news-y brand. If I was building this out I’d build a “Good News” newsletter and spread the love via email.
Damn, now I want to buy this and do that…
Tour.io - another nice one-word .io, this could be anything: tourism, music, golf, cycling? etc. Lots of good uses but not sure they match the techy .io, but maybe that doesn’t matter?
Christ.io - a timely .io (be the savior of tech with this .io — the marketing copy writes itself…)
Parks.io - in general I’m not super stoked to build very general things on an extension like .io (or .ai or .co, etc.) — on the other hand, the chances of you being able to acquire Parks .com (or even .org) is preeeeeetty slim.
Addict.org - fuck. This is the name of the week 10/10. Name is old af and the space is $$$ (which, can be fraught for the subject matter but if you’re legitimately helping people all good). This is:
a) not gonna be cheap to acquire, and
b) gonna be insanely expensive to build out properly and SEO it up, but
c) potentially extremely worth it.
MJClub.com - this is how people who don't smoke weed think people that DO smoke weed think about weed…
It’s not a bad name, but, eh. It’s not how smokers talk/think about cannabis.
Volcano.io - love it as a brand
BlackGlass.com - love the vibes, love it as a brand.
OneToken.com - probably some kind of crypto shit advertising to you on Twitter until you block them. 😒
Portland.io - love it for a build out
ChristmasOffers.com - I’d say don't invest in a site that only matters once a year, unless you own, like, Christmas.com or something. This might be good for a build out but wild to invest in something that only is relevant, at best, 40 days per year…
ModernMystic.com - sounds like some alliteration ChatGPT would come up with. ChatGPT fucking LOVES alliteration. Wait, lemme try again. ChatGPT always answers with alliterative ants and applesauce oh god it’s outta control!
EarthNFT.com LOL. no.
MedicalMarijuanaDoctors.com - eh. This is really long. Someone might buy it from you eventually, but if you’re thinking about BUILDING on this, you can probably do better for how much this will cost you… also it’s not a good brand.
Zengage.com - BrandBucket Bait. Great brandable tho. Be careful of trademarks, but I really love this one.
EverythingCannabis.com — jeeze, lot of cannabis in this list. When considering a brand I always ask myself if I'd wear that brand’s merch. High Times? Sure. Leafly, yeah ok, a little nerdy tho. Everything Cannabis? Probably not. Sounds like a buffet…
SearchSearch.com - I’m generally not a fan of double word brands, but I think this one works ok. The more I look at it, the more I like it…
MedicalWearables.com - names like this are irresistible to domain investors to register when a new trend breaks. Who's gonna build a site on this? I guess there could be an argument that this would make for a nice ad-landing page, and maybe I have a huge bias for brands, but I think two-word names like are ass and I’d never build a site on this (fully recognize that people have done amazing sales with names like this, but whatever, not a fan of this kind of name).
Names With Juice
VaporShop.com - no traffic:
LiveYourLegend.net - $5.1k, big DR:
HireForUkraine.org - $3.6k, very new domain from 2022
Wellory.com - $3.3k
OceanUnite.org - $2.4k UNTIE! I mean, UNITE!
SmartCampaign.org - $2.1k — keep thinking that says CAMPING
BrevardTimes.com - $2.0k — one of the coolest counties (SPACE county) in one of our dumbest states (FL, obviously):
